Noxino Anti-Money Laundering Policy: What It Means for You

The Anti-Money Laundering Policy explains how Noxino Casino verifies players, monitors transactions and responds to financial activity that requires further review. Noxino is operated by May Sun Services S.A. under Anjouan gaming licence ALSI-202411025-FI1.

Money Laundering: A Brief Explanation

Money laundering involves disguising money or other property obtained through criminal activity so that it appears legitimate.

It is commonly described in three stages: placement, when illicit funds enter the financial system; layering, when transactions are used to obscure their origin; and integration, when the funds re-enter the economy appearing legitimate.

Online gambling services can be misused for this purpose, which is why identity, payment and transaction checks form part of Noxino’s AML controls.

Noxino’s Regulatory Obligations

May Sun Services S.A. holds a valid B2C licence issued by the Anjouan Gaming Authority. Noxino’s AML programme also references European anti-money laundering rules, including Directive 2015/849 and Regulation 2015/847.

The framework is designed to identify customers, assess financial risk, monitor unusual transactions and escalate activity that cannot be satisfactorily explained.

Identity Verification: The Foundation of AML

Know Your Customer, or KYC, checks help confirm that an account belongs to the person who registered it and that payment methods are not being used without authorisation.

Noxino uses a three-step verification process. Initial verification collects personal information such as your name, date of birth, country of residence, gender and full address. Further checks can require identity documents, proof of residence and financial information.

Required Documents

Identity verification may require a passport, national ID card or driving licence, together with an additional image of the account holder. Submitted ID images must be clear and show all four corners.

If additional proof of address is required, acceptable evidence can include a recent utility bill, bank statement or government correspondence issued within the previous three months. Evidence relating to a bank account, card or other payment method may also be requested when needed to verify ownership or financial activity.

Source of Funds Verification

Source of funds and source of wealth checks go beyond standard identity verification. They are used when Noxino needs to understand where higher-value funds have come from and whether they have a legitimate origin.

The AML Policy identifies deposits above €5,000 as a trigger for a source-of-wealth process. Its step-three verification rules also refer to deposits or withdrawals above US$5,000, as well as transfers to another user above US$3,000.

Evidence may relate to:

  • employment
  • business ownership
  • investments
  • inheritance
  • family sources

Further documents can be requested if the source or legitimacy of the funds cannot be established. The policy does not publish one fixed response deadline, so players should provide requested information promptly. An account may be frozen while the required checks are completed.

How Transactions Are Monitored

Noxino uses ongoing transaction monitoring to identify behaviour that appears unusual compared with a player’s normal account profile.

Checks can consider patterns such as depositing and withdrawing without meaningful betting activity, changes in payment accounts, unusual financial behaviour, changes in nationality or currency, and activity that raises questions about who controls the account.

Automated systems are supported by employee review, with suspicious or higher-risk activity subject to further manual checks.

Accounts Under AML Review

An AML review does not follow one identical process in every case. The action taken depends on the verification stage and the reason further checks are required.

For example, the AML Policy states that transactions can be held while step-two or step-three verification is incomplete. Where a source-of-wealth check is triggered by the relevant threshold, the account may be frozen while supporting information is reviewed.

If you receive a request for ID, proof of address or financial evidence, provide complete and readable documents as soon as possible. Noxino may request further evidence when the information supplied does not adequately establish identity or the lawful origin of funds.

If the required checks cannot establish a legitimate source of funds, account restrictions or termination may follow. Pending withdrawals may also remain subject to verification and AML checks.

Reporting Obligations

Activity that cannot be reasonably linked to a lawful source can be escalated to the AML team for assessment.

Depending on the findings, the team determines whether a report must be submitted to the relevant Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) and whether the customer relationship should be terminated. Where fraud or money laundering is identified, relevant authorities may be informed.

Internal Controls and Compliance

Noxino assigns responsibility for AML compliance to senior management and an Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer (AMLCO).

Controls also include employee training, manual risk-based reviews, automated monitoring, internal audits and documented procedures. Identification and transaction records are retained for at least 10 years under the AML Policy.

Player Obligations Under This Policy

Players must provide accurate account information, use payment methods they are authorised to use and cooperate with KYC, proof-of-address and source-of-funds requests.

Attempts to conceal the origin of funds, use another person’s payment method, provide misleading information or circumvent financial controls can result in transactions being held, account restrictions, termination or further investigation.
